Erichsen Cupping Testing Machine offer range is designed to reveal the cupping qualities of metal sheets and strips. These technologically advanced machines are used for testing adhesion, elasticity and priority of coat of paints or varnish by way of comparison.
The Erichsen Cupping Machine is a semi-automatic or automatic device designed for testing metal sheets. The machine is used for the following purposes :
- To reveal the cupping qualities of metal sheets and strips
- To test the adhesion, elasticity, and porosity of coats of paints or varnish by way of comparison
- To determine the stretch-forming capacity of sheet metals
- To test plastic deformation performance and ductility
The machine is based on screw universal material testing machines and is effective with thin strips . The equipment can be used to provide clamping force, stamping force, displacement, cupping value, and velocity, depending on the models being used .
The Erichsen cupping test is a fast and inexpensive type of testing that is often used in incoming goods inspection and directly in the production process . The test is performed by clamping the sheet between the sheet holder and the die and forming it with a hardened ball punch until a fine, continuous crack appears in the sheet . The distance traveled by the ball punch to the crack is referred to as the indentation value "IE" (in mm) and represents an important quality feature of the tested sheet metal
Features:
- Low maintenance
- Longer functional life
- Excellent performance
